LEADERSHIP AND COACHING – HOW DO WE REACH OUR POTENTIAL WHILE

HOLDING AUTHENTICITY AT THE FOREFRONT?

We have the power to change the way our future generations of girls experience this world, and we’re excited to collaborate and share conversations with women around the country to discuss just how to do that. The NICA Women’s Gathering is an immersive event bringing together women to share wisdom, find inspiration, and connect around best practices for being leaders and mentors in the mountain biking world.

Our mornings will include yoga sessions and group conversations, followed by lunch and an afternoon of guided and shuttled mountain bike rides on some of Oregon’s best trails. Attendees will have options to choose between a couple different ride options and we’re confident you’ll be happy with the choices provided. Evenings are a time to recharge and do your own exploration.

This is for you if you’d like to

    • shift the paradigm of the mountain biking world and women’s involvement in it
    • develop yourself as an authentic and conscious leader
    • support other female leaders and find more support for yourself
    • create meaningful impact in your community
    • ride mountain bikes with other likeminded women (of course!)

The NICA Women’s Gathering is open to all certified women NICA coaches and all women who are curious about getting involved with a NICA team.

TOPICS OF CONVERSATIONS WILL INCLUDE

    • listening to intuition and leading with authenticity

    • feminine leadership

    • exploring our personal narrative and how it can better serve us

Yes. There will be plenty of space for camper vans, trailers, and RVs where we’re camping at. There are no hook-ups on-site.

Absolutely. While our morning sessions and guided group rides are for NICA Women’s Gathering attendees only, family members (including pets) and friends are welcome to camp with you.

Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome, but we ask that you have outside care for them during the morning sessions.

WHAT LODGING OPTIONS ARE THERE?

Check out the town of Oakridge and Westfir for loding. Aside from hotels, there are numerous Airbnb options.

The Westfir Lodge is located across the street from where the NICA Women’s Gathering is taking place. In Oakridge, check out the Arbor Inn Motel, Cascade Motel, or the Bluewolf Motel. There are plenty of spacious cabins and cottages to rent through Airbnb, too.

ACTIVITIES

WHAT ACTIVITIES DOES OAKRIDGE OFFER?

Looking for something other than mountain biking? Oakridge and the surrounding area has loads of hiking, kayaking, trout fishing, and floating to enjoy. The river provides much reprieve after a long summer’s day of activities, and the town has coffee shops, pubs, and restaurants to relax in.

Cog Wild has been running shuttles in the area for years. They also have guides that can lead the way for your group.
